The Black Lives Matter Series is inspired by our desire for equality in our country and the world. Each pair is designed with the intentional use of the color black as the representation of all the people in the world who are oppressed because of the color of their skin. The designs speak to the undeniable beauty, presence, strength, power and culture of all things black. They are named for phrases that are mantras, anthems, and beliefs we stand on amidst all the voices that claim otherwise. We stand black and proud and affirm that the world cannot be without us. It cannot thrive without us and it cannot win without us, because we are made phenomenally and unapologetically black and we won’t quit! #pullupforchange!
